Dr. Roghair joined the University of Iowa faculty in 2005 and since 2014, he has directed the NIH-funded Iowa Medical Student Research Program, including lead course instruction and administration of the research distinction track. He continues to investigate the developmental origins of cardiovascular disease with emphasis on the long-term impact of sedentary behavior and neonatal leptin deficiency. As a person with a disability from a disadvantaged background, he mentors and contributes to DEI-related initiatives on local and national levels (CV attached).
